Unhappy Hamster had a large lump on neck/throat area?

Hello!

I currently own a Syrian hamster, who is almost 2 years old. About a week ago, he had a rather large lump on his throat/neck area, and he was struggling to walk with it so I took him to the vets. He had the lump removed, but the vet had no idea what it was, can anyone perhaps tell me what it could've been?

The vet also said yesterday that he's dehydrated, but I can't get him to drink. I've provided him with cucumber, a grape and even put some water on a saucer to see if he would drink but he won't. He also refuses to drink out of his water bottle. He's also not eating.
He also still seems very drowsy, despite his operation being three days ago.
Today, I took the lid off his bed, and usually he wakes up as soon as I do this, but today he was still asleep, and even when I touched him he didn't wake up.
Eventually, he did come to.
At the moment, he just seems very confused.

Can someone please give me some advice as to what I should do
I don't know what to do with him and it's upsetting me greatly.

Thank you.
