... either the vet tech got it wrong then, doesn't know what she's talking about, or our meds are different!

I am so trying them when I get home and give her her meds. Maybe I'll dose her upstairs so my mother doesn't see.

Lol! You're all nuts licking hamster meds. But now I feel compelled to try Baytril and see what you're all on about.

xD gruel. Nah, the kids love porridge! If they've had an early dinner I give them a warm snack before bed - warm milk and cookies, or porridge, or heated, milky, mashed up weetabix. Hot cocoa with a bit of toast. Yknow that kind of stuff. I hate the idea that my boys could be going to bed hungry, or wake up hungry in the night.

Hmmm baytril... Yuck... >.< now I see why he really didn't want it in his mouth.

Sometimes adding a smear of ribena on the syringe tip helps the medicine go down spyro so you could try that?
My daughter ( now 20) , when she is home from Uni, still expects her chewy vitamin drop and a glass of warm milk even though she goes to bed hours after me! You never stop being a caring mummy!

You're full of great tips soufflé thankyou!
I'm sure Kody will appreciate the ribena
He's lucky I've got kids and they drink ribena like it's going out of date tomorrow

I haven't actually tried metacam - or their food lol. Metacam just smells relatively decent and I remember how happy Scamp was to take it. I have found out how nasty baytril is and I strongly reccomend no-one else ever finds out, it took far too long to get rid of the taste afterwards lol

Reminds me of several types of mouthwash. I get the same issues because Im sure that they remove layers of skin cells

He's looking very sad and lonely tonight poor baby.
I took his wheel away as the vet also mentioned he may rub his bits on it and Hekomi mentioned it might be a good idea also.
I've given him sugary goodness to keep him happy and he's just been given his probiotic filled porridge made with water so that I don't risk the dairy upsetting his tummy. He's never had dairy before.
My poor Kody bear. He hasn't eaten much porridge, but he keeps poking at it. He's snoozing a lot - boredom I suppose
