Punny

Come to think of it - a good question would have been, "why do you have (at the age of 16) 20 or so dead hamsters and 0 live ones?"

So sorry for your loss of Apollo. We lost our Apollo earlier this year to a tumour.

Run free little fluff x

Thank you, Bec. I saw the picture of your Apollo on another thread. Our Apollo looked a lot like yours. I had to disassemble his cage for now. It was too difficult seeing it empty. I lost a hamster as a child - literally lost him when he escaped his cage but this was infinitely worse. I'm sorry you lost your Apollo to illness as well, I hope he had a full happy life. I'm still a mess - reading Souffle's description of the rainbow bridge had me in tears all over again. My other hamster has been a comfort, I'm very thankful we have her. Also all the support here has been wonderful.

This site is a great comfort with a lot of supportive members. I know how hard it is. Our Apollo left us far too soon at 6 months old, such a shock. I still look at his thread:
Apollo's Thread!

Souffle told me this that I will never forget:
"Never forget it's not the time in your life that matters it's the life in your time"

Keep hold of the memories of your Apollo. We made a calendar with our Apollos favourite pics....might be worth doing something similar.

We also got Neptune in May, unfortunately he had cancer of the scent gland but fortunately we caught it early. Hoping for a full recovery.
