Default Hamster got out of ball, injuries after :/

My robo hamster Toph was in her ball earlier while we were cleaning out her cage. She got out right by us and we were able to get her back into her cage really fast but before that I noticed she was injured. I noticed that she had a sore/wound near her tail/backside. What should I do to treat it?
Note: We're not planning on using her wheel after this anymore for her I really didn't expect anything like this to happen.

BTW she's acting perfectly normal and running around her cage at this point.

Hi. Hamster balls really are not suitable for roborovskis as they are such speedy creatures and much prefer to be placed in a spare cage with a wheel while their main cage is cleaned. It`s safer too.

As for the injury, I would suggest saline if she has any cuts. Saline is just one teaspoon of salt added to one pint of boiled, cooled water and gently wiped over any cuts to the skin or scabs. It`s safe if ingested as it`s only salted water. But if the wound looks superficial, it may be better just to leave it alone and watch for any signs of infection or it not healing, but only over the next 24 hours or so. If you feel it needs a vet looking at it, then do so.

Is her actual tail okay? I`m not sure how she would cut or injure her back end in a ball but I`ve always suggested to people never to use balls. I see them as gimmicks and it`s not the first time a hamster (or a mouse) has been injured while using one.

How is your little one now?
