Re: Hamster Cannibalism
This initial post makes me sick! I'm a first time hamster owner, I have a syrian and I made sure to know all the important facts before I got him. I knew that syrians are solitary and dwarfs can be housed together. I wanted a LHS so I knew I could only have one! I also asked the associates at petsmart TONS of questions about everything regarding their care.....I think I drove them nuts for like the first 2 months after I got him! It even says in the pet stores on the signs that show what breed they are and all the facts : solitary need to be kept alone! The dwarf signs say can be kept together! Plus I bought myself about 6 or 7 different hamster books online, the ones with the best reviews and joined this forum. I feel that I have a great deal of hamster knowledge now, between petsmart associates, the books and info I've read online and from members here. I honestly hope this post IS just a joke!!!!!!!

Re: Hamster Cannibalism
I agree Panda's_mommy I would never go and get a pet without knowing everything there is to know, but there are people out there that just think hamsters and goldfish are sold to children so they're just a toy or something

Re: Hamster Cannibalism
I love my hammies to bits, was away from them for a set of night shifts this week and it killed me! I wish people were more responsible! So many teenagers with pets being neglected! Where are their parents or responsible adults!!!!!!!

Re: Hamster Cannibalism
I'm getting seriously concerned and upset with these posts, it's getting worse and worse and I love this forum and am not an active poster, I just like reading and seeing other peoples questions and posts of their hammies. When I log on and see questions like this and numerous other ones similar, it puts me on a right downer and if it's a joke it's absolutely vile.
