Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Finally bought a scale from Amazon for Stan. We're not quite sure how old he is since he's a pet shop ham...but I'd guess around 3 months. He's weighing in at a solid 100 grams. I'm a little worried he's underweight. Might need to makes some changes to his diet.

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
I recently weighed Buzz for the first time - he weighs 144g. He's currently 1 year, 8 months old. Is this a normal weight for a pet shop bought male?

I am so happy Abe has put on 5 grams, he's growing extremely slowly but I'm hoping he will at least get to 170+ one day, fingers crossed.

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
My Russian Dwarf is 28g! Teeny tiny - I only know this because she broke her leg last week and the vet weighed her. She didn't say this was too light, but it sounds very light to me. What do others think?

Mischief currently weighs 41g at about 1 year and 1-2 month(s).
The camera is not kind to her.

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Here's my three's latest weights.
Lord James - Male Chinese - 1 yr - 46g
Jessie Jaye - Female Chinese - 7 months - 26g
Miss Lilli-Victoria - Female Chinese - 4 months - 26g
Jessie doesn't really do growing despite all my best efforts to help her so I think she's meant to be fairly small. She's a pet shop girl so I don't know about her parentage.
I weighed Sooty (Russian Hybrid) last time she was here and she's 51g at the age of two.

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Silly me - I posted a thread asking this here but now I see you guys chatting!
Waffles is a new hammy for me - still very shy so impossible to weigh but he's quite round! He's meant to be about 10-12 weeks old. We don't know if he is male or female (see thread for details on behaviour, etc - don't think its pregnancy basically - i've had a pregnant ham!!).
Anyway - are robos generally quite round? Waffles eats two-three times a day and runs on his wheel all night yet is very round around the middle. Is this normal?
Thanks guys! Hearing about your little tubbies makes me smile!
