Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Pippy passed away, and I have two new ones, so update time:
Fluffy IV - male Syrian, 10 months old - 174g. (No change.)
Bubbles - male hybrid, 1 year old - 65g (no change.)
Snowy - female hybrid, 9-ish months old (in adoption centre for 6 months, so no idea of her actual age; guestimated to be around this) - 43g
Teddy - female Roborovski, 6 months old (adopted, guestimated age) - 25g

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Mr. Carlisle seems like a little guy by comparison to the other Syrians. He weighed in at 131g today. I'm not surprised he's a light one because of all the running he does. He never finishes all of the food I give him but he's really active and I think he's pretty healthy looking. I bought the amazon basics kitchen scale (finally!)

Tori- Female Syrian- 7 months old- 103 grams
I adopted her from a shelter but I'm guessing she is a "pet shop hamster".

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Myrcella, Female Syrian, 5 months old - 164 grams
Very active girl, always on her wheel and running around in her cage. She's from Leeds hams Hamstery.
Winston, Male Syrian, 1 year 3 months - 148 grams (-12g)
More active since I brought Myrcella home, Weight loss most likely due to him being excited and maybe age. He's a pet shop hamster.

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Wow, Turquoise is tiny compared to all of the other Syrian hammies . That being said, it sounds like a lot of y'alls hamsters come from good breeders, whereas I suspect my baby girl is inbred.
Turquoise, 12 months 2 weeks, 136g (down from 154 a few months ago, has been dealing with some *expensive* health problems).

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
I weight my babies every week. (started a few weeks ago) It's good practice. And it really alerts you if something is off. I have one that is going through vet treatment right now. with meds and such. and It was looking kind of grim.. I didn't know if she was eatting or not, and that info is an important factor. anyway, I weighed her today and she has gained 7g's in a week. I am still unsure if that's because she is eatting or if it's just inactivity creeping in.. but it's always good to weigh.
