Tehe just wait till she gets older, WWs get huge! She wont feel that heavy unless you hold a lighter hamster first but you will certainly see how big she is, Thistle has gone up to 63g and she is only 10 months old! lol

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
He seems so heavy for a teeny little thing.
Do you know much Bacardi weighs? I'd love to compare him to Bailey.

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
He's a big boy. Makes Bailey seem even smaller. It's nice to know the size difference between pet shop and breeder hams.

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
This is such a fantastic idea. I always weighed mine on the advice of a gerbil breeder. People thought I was mad. I do it every week when they get cleaned out etc. I noticed straight away that my gerbil Carbuncle was losing about 10g a week. To the naked eye he didn't seem to be doing any worse/ better but we knew there was something wrong. Low and behold a week later he had suddenly lost 20g was very very ill and had to be taken to the vets it is a very good indication to maybe just keep an extra eye on them. I have not weighed Greyjoy yet as he is only on his third day here.
Before Cat died he consistantly weighed 205g-220g... Heavy I know! The vet told me he was the biggest syrian she had ever seen. When I asked if she meant overweight she said no he seemed in very good shape (bar his little ear infection) but he was just a big big boy. He never really took to treats either he was just BIG!
