No worries my friend. I love these little fur balls. Good luck with your ham, and please keep us updated.

prob mites would need vet treatment as mites are under the skin and can be got rid of my general cleaning vet needs to scrape the skin and put it under the telescope to see them. Have you seen any fleas as the will move when you part the fur.

Your robo could have his dermadex mites flaring, these are mites that live on his and all hamster's skin naturally, but in times of stress or illness they will flare up and multiply causing issues. Your other hamster would not be affected by these mites.

He may also have an allergy to the substrate you are keeping him on, this can also cause irritation and hair loss. What is he livinh on/sleeping in at the moment.

Is he relaxed in his environment? As you have only had his for a few weeks he has had a lot of changes, and will need to feel happy and relaxed in his home, if he's not, this can be a cause of his mites flaring up.

He could also have an endocrine issue which is often the problem should all other causes be ruled out.

Disturb him as little as possible, have him on a substrate that only needs a full clean once a month, and then spot clean once a week only. Treat him for dermadex mites and see how he gets on.

Yes you want a deep substrate that you only have to clean out fully once a month. Just do spot cleans daily where you remove any visible poops and you can replace bedding that is wet from wee too, but you only have to change it all once a month, minimizing stress.

If he is on wood shavings, another suggestion you can try is a ham safe paper based bedding like Kaytee Clean and Kozy, or Carefresh Natural or Ultra.

Maybe the wood shavings are irritating him?
