Im sure if Lola had access to a skirt and a handbag that would be very possible haha!

Lola just gets very hyper running around her cage and likes to destroy things like eatting shelves, rearranging her cage etc.

Female syrians do have a certain scent at certain times during their cycle - i have never really noticed it too strongly before - that was until i had a cage full of 7, 7 week old Females !

Very, Very noticeable scent about them - the cage needs cleaning every day too!!

Totally depends on the hamster as to how much they smell.

Cupcake does have a certain 'twang' when she is on heat, but nothing major. Purdy however, goodness...that girl needs some new perfume! It is REALLY strong. She also goes totally mad, last night (heat night) she chewed her new rope toy totally in half, and is now sharing her bed with it!

Marley goes hyper active (more than usual!)

There can also be a little bit of discharge, Bailey discharged on me once. Ew, no matter how often I washed my hands - I smelt like a hamster's bum!

The scent is pretty weird, but distinguishable - kind of like musky sugar puffs.

Some females will freeze and "stand" (tail up, mating position) when you touch their backs.

Totally depends on the hamster though - some go through their cycle completely un-noticed.

And you suddenly become VERY popular with the boys when you hold them....

Hi ya My girls do funny noises and like hoot when they are on heat. We call it hooting and tooting and they let off their female smell. Someone will put their tails up in the air and go into a freeze position aswell. Its just normal behaviour.

All those things already mentioned plus we find they tend to wheel run a lot more on their 'night'. They are quite keen to escape too , so they can go in search of a boyfriend I think
