alive but not moving

hi so ive had my teddy bear bailey since december and hes been great. I work at the place i got him so i know his only like 7 months old and was healthy, so far hes been really active but i found him today on top of his house just sitting still and i went to pet him and he didnt move which is a bit odd cuz he usually looks for snacks. so i picked him up and he wont move. hes breathing normally and his gums look normal and his eyes are bright and clear and his tail and bottom looks ok and hes responding to stimuli but hes just laying in my hand not moving. i tried to give him a piece of food and he just held it in his teeth. if he needs to go to the vet he'll go in the morning but hes making me nervous. any ideas of what i should do with him?

he kinda woke up and now hes walking around and taking treats and being active, do hamsters have seizures like dogs do where theyre dazed for a while afterwards? I know teddy bears tend to have genetic problems

I had a syrian hamster that did that too. I wonder what it is.

One of my hammies have just done this about 2 days ago. Im assuming they just have freezing moment. Its quite scary when this happends then when they eventually wake up there so active its strange

My Russian Chanski did that when she fell off her shelf... She was a clumsy little thing! She was trying to reach the bars from her shelf once and she fell. She stayed stationary, not moving for a time so I picked her up.
Usually she would run everywhere but she just stayed put in my hand not moving. It took her about 15 minutes, but then she just started moving again.
I took it that she had a natural reaction to the shock of falling. She never did it again...
Could Bailey have done something to himself that may have meant he was in shock?

I dont think he could have fallen or anything. He has a water dish instead of a bottle so he cant climb on in and fall off and he has a silent spinner so he cant climb on that. He fell a few weeks ago but he had been perfectly fine since then. Its wierd that it lasted 20 minutes then he was perfectly fine. My dog acted the same way once and the vet said it was a seizure.

Could just be cold, my pebbles did this and i put more bedding in, she hasnt done it since, dont know for sure thoughX
