Default Eye still not open after conjunctivitis - help!

My lil winter white ham, Guinevere, had conjunctivitis a few weeks ago. I got her antibiotic gel from the vet to put on her eye and it's healed up, except the eye still hasn't properly opened again. She looks like she's squinting all the time. There's no redness or discharge at all... it's quite odd. Here's a pic:

Is there anything I can do to help her eye open up again?

Thank you!

It could be that it is just 'gummed' shut with the previous discharge. Could you try and bathe it twice a day with cooled boiled water with a little salt in it and a cotton ball and gently try and ease it open?
Have you seen her open it at all or is it always shut? If it stays closed like that it must be feeling sore so I would take her back to have it checked out.
Hope she is better soon x

I haven't seen her open it at all, I'm afraid. But, okay. I can definitely try bathing it gently with cotton and see how she goes. If there's no improvement by next week, I think it will be time to go back to the vet. Thanks!

Sometimes after an infection the tear glands don't work as well and they produce more sticky tears which easily gum the eyelids shut. It can mean that she may need regular bathing to keep the eyes clear. You can also use a type of human artificial tears that you buy in the chemist called isopto tears twice a day to keep the eye lubricated, We had this issue with one of our WW in the past after an eye infecton.
