Unknown Injury on Foot
Hey all, happy new year,
I was going to say that to Boo tonight when I noticed some sort of injury on her one toe. it looks like her nail got pushed back somehow. She's still super active, and not favouring her other paw at all, but I'm naturally alarmed, because I have no idea how it happened.
Here's a photo. Any suggestions or ideas would be massively appreciated

Re: Unknown Injury on Foot
She has pulled a nail HammieandMerlin. It's quite a common injury if the nail get's caught in something and the hammy pulls it or cracks it. It will normally start to grow in again with a new nail but you should keep a close eye that it does not get very swollen or show any pus of look as if the tissue is dying off as this may mean an infection. If it does you should see a vet.
Check the cage and wheel for anything the nail could have caught in and smooth that over.
I hope it heals up soon.

Re: Unknown Injury on Foot
Thanks a lot. I looked over everything, and can't seem to find anything. She still has a nail on that toe, it just looks pushed back, which is the odd part
