Default Balding, scabby skin

So my Lil girl is turning 2 soon. She was unofficially "diagnosed' by a vet with cancer or either a hormonal imbalance. Either which would cause her to lose fur on the left lower side of her back. She has been balding for many months now but what I'm concerned with is scabby and flaky skin. Her fur isn't coming back and she is only going to lose more so I'm concerned about her skin integrity and infection. What would you recommend?

I'm not sure what you mean by unofficially diagnosed with cancer or a hormone imbalance, there's a big difference there, did you have her checked out by a vet with hamster knowledge?
I would suggest taking her to a vet who has experience treating hamsters & can give you a proper diagnosis & advice on treatment.
You can give a combination of evening primrose oil & flax seeds (linseed) just a pinch a day as this can be very helpful with skin or fur problems but still get her checked out.

Okay, I will definitely have to have flaxseed a try. Thank you.

yes, I went to a vet that actually treats hamsters. I took her to an exotic vet because I thought she had scabies/mites, she didn't have them. the reason we didn't diagnose her is that the vet suggested I didn't. He said the testing and treatments are too expensive for either condition she might have and it's not worth it considering the animal's lifespan. So he gave me the unofficial diagnoses of what it might be. I'm can't spend hundreds of dollars on a diagnose, I love my hamster, I spend good money on her to eat well and live in a big, clean habit but I am a college student with bills so there is a limit to what I can afford.

and well I guess I should note the hormonal issue is genetic one he is talking about so I wouldn't be a diet or supplementally fix. I worked at PetSmart and bought her there. I was ignorant of that whole situation which I now do not support to buy from. So her genes are not good!
