Default Cleanin out

Hey! I was just wondering how often people clean out their hamsters! Got any comments? I clean mine out every week and give him food and water every other day...well the food is usually gone by the end of the day because Bo can be a greedy hamster bless him! Suggestions?

Once a week to once every other week. My gerbils cages get smellier much faster but then I have three housed in one bin and five in another. My Syrian hamster Gerald doesn’t smell much at all, in fact I don’t think he smells any. So Ill usually do his every other week. With my roborovski Ill sometimes wait as long as three weeks as it’s just him in there and they are so small.

The hamsters in cages are cleaned out weekly, but the pair of robos in a big tank are completely cleaned out say once a month or so and every week I clean the cage furniture and change about half the bedding. Sand baths/potties are changed every few days or as they need to be.

I feed dry mix ad-lib and change the bowl every day or every other day, and they get fresh veggies/fruit/other treat most evenings.
