But I think there might be blood under it now that I check it again. I hope it dosent come off too early. But the scab means its healing right?

I feel really bad that ive kept them together too long though.

Probably is a bite then. Do keep an eye on it though

EDIT: Only just saw your other reply. He may need a vet for antibiotics if it's not healing properly.

Are they separated now?

It could have been a bite wound that had become infected and formed an abcess. If these burst they drain and leave a hole. It's usually a good idea to keep bathing these open until all the pus drains and they heal from inside. However I think you need to see a vet with him to confirm what it is. The infection could linger and spread causing orchiditis (swollen testicles) which is painful and he may be better treated if it is an infection to be safe and sure it is gone. Young hamsters have underdeveloped immune systems so get these things more easily.

I'd still take him to the vets in all honesty, just to be sure. Purely because of him being so young, like Souffle said they have a underdeveloped immune system and are more susceptible to things.

That's good if it seems healed. Watch closely for any sign of it swelling or 'filling up' just in case.
