Found more blood :0(
Cookie is unfortunately still peeing sme blood, vet said if it looked the same as the last sample (colour, smell, consistency) then not to take anther sample in,unless Cookie seemed unwell, which luckily she doesn't,I thought that my little OAP had stopped peeing blood as I'd not seen any for abit.
I always monitor my hams closely, full body checks,I smell them, check their poos, wees, potties, try and work out how much they eat, drink, how their pee smells,if they have fur loss etc etc,and Cookie is again not showing any signs of illness,(she is whizzing round in her ball as i type lol) I'm just worried/wondering what's going on inside.
Because the vets hadn't done a kidney removal op on a hammy before, they had nothing to compare Cookies bleeding to,so I'm just to keep an eye on her,get said it is likely to be coming frm where they removed her kidney, but surely that wouldn't still be bleeding?
Anyways, just thought I'd let you all know how the OAP is doing, she sends you all hammy huggles xxxx

Yeah, she's seems very healthy other than the bloody urine! Vet said she might be like that for awhile, and also the other possibility is it might be from her other kidney that's what I worry about, but I'm trying to keep positive and make sure Cookie enjoys her retirement days, weeks, months, years she has left. Of course if any other symptoms pop up I'll be straight down to the vets with the little OAP. Xxxx

When Jam had issues with blood in his urine it was due to his kidneys, you can have a kidney function test, and change Cookie's diet is necessary. hamtastic has done an amazing job with her ham Lucy and her kidney issues, if it does prove to be that, there is a great health care post she did in this section on with special focus to cope with the condition
