Can someone please give us advice on our dwarf hamster as it has alot of blood coming from its back passage and it seems to be clawing at it alot, my daughter is breaking her heart at the moment and we dont know what to do, can someone give us a number that we could phone or if there is a vet service we could call to get some advice from, we live in uphall near edinburgh.

Thanks from really worried parents.

See a vet as quickly as possible. I'm sure there are vets locally but theres a good chance that its time for your ham to pass I'm afraid

You need to get your ham to a vet ASAP. Don't bother trying to find advice from one, just find one that will see him this evening.

I have a ham that was bleeding and I brought her in. She has a tumor on her uterus that will randomly bleed. She is ok now with medicine but there is nothing we can do about the tumor. I hope your ham has something similar and will get through it.
