Hurt cheek pouch? Or just being cute?
I noticed twice now that Hamchan tends to use only his right cheek pouch when taking treats from me. The first time, I saw it, I wondered but he seemed fine otherwise. Today, I was giving him treats, and he only pouched them on the same side again. I kept giving him more to see if he'd use the other side but instead, he ran off when I suppose, it was full. Anyone else seen this before? Should I be worried?

Well as someone who only chews their food on one side of their mouth I'm sure it's the same thing it's just more comfortable. Izu pouches the same cheek. I think it's just what feels comfortable.

Re: Hurt cheek pouch? Or just being cute?
I often wondered the same about Daisy as she would only use her right pouch. My mind was put to rest when I saw her stuffing tissue into both one day. See if you can have a feel of the other pouch from the outside and see if there are any lumps of if he flinches in pain, if not I'm sure he's fine

Ah, cool, phew. A worried hamster-mum as usual. No, he seems fine otherwise, and I can't see or feel any obvious lumps and he's not flinching.
