Miles has been sick
all this week Miles has been sick. the first couple days, I thought she was just being lazy as she would come out but would go back to bed. after a while she was just non responsive.
she did not seem to have any symptoms of any of the illnesses i know hamsters get. My mother figured her body was just shutting down and she was dying. she's over a year old. none of the vets in my area sees hamsters.
so I just had to keep an eye on her. she kept getting worse and worse. I started giving her water by hand cause she would not wake up but she would drink if i put drops of water on her mouth.
Yesterday morning, I noticed a bottle of colloidal silver on a dresser, and checked online to see if it was safe for hamsters. I was happy to see that it was ok.
so I gave her 1 drop. she was still unresponsive. 6 hours later she was awake. today I gave her another drop and she's walking around. she ran in her wheel a bit and went looking for food to hoard.
but this was a scary week. Has anyone ever used colloidal silver for a sick hamster before?
