Well with 5 boys now (including a very...blessed chinese boy) I can honestly say it doesn't faze me! It was certainly an experience when I first got Porridge, But I'm sure you'll get used to it in time

It makes me laugh when they use them as a pillow

I'm just wondering why you don't plan to handle him until summer?

The sooner you start handling the easier it will be. If you leave him until summer with no contact then he will be even more wary of humans.

I was quite shocked when I first held Cooper as I'm used to having a female Syrian. You will get used to it though.

Taffy have you read my posts from when I first got Phoebe?

I was so so scared!! I was so worried that I done somthing wrong, or made her more frightened and I was contstantly asking for help and advice from these guys, it became a bit like a taming diary

And I did it! It was scary, but I look back and feel so proud, if I can do it you can too!!

I'd recommend coaxing him into a box or a jar and then letting him run around you in an empty bath tub or even feeding him treats from your hand and gently talking to him.

Syrians don't usually take long to tame.

Wow I had to laugh. My three dwarfies (Two chinese and a robo) were boys so I was totally unfazed by the whole privates thing. XD But when it came to taming Toshiro I was so terrified especially because he was so small! But I did the bath tub technique as you get more confident and as you do your hammy does. It's great XD
