Re: Hamsters and noise
it will bother the hamsters....i think they can hear quite well...better than humans anyway and loud music/noises will stress them out. i definitely would put the hamster into another room
you are not worrying for nothing

Re: Hamsters and noise
I would totally move the hamster or the boyfriend! Or the speakers I think your hamster surely hates the loud music when he is trying to sleep. Good luck

Re: Hamsters and noise
I'm sure he's glad of it . If anything loud is happening in my front room, Chewy gets jammed in the bedroom. And before I hoover I tend to talk at him increasingly loudly "Loud Noises. I'm Going to make LOUD NOISES" as I worry about shocking him and giving him a heart attack! They do have good hearing. Notice how they will sometimes stand on their hind legs, ears pricked, obviously heard something interesting, but I can never hear whatever it is!

Re: Hamsters and noise
My hammy wakes up when i make the slightest noise, very sensitive hearing.
When i want to play loud music i always move the cages into another room.
