for some hamsters this is their only source of "out" time so I would hate to stop anyone using them, but I did write this little article some time ago which hopefully will raise some questions. Feel free to ask and I would love to discuss this topic in more detail.

We did a post on balls a while back becka. You could try searching 'balls' in the search facility. Personally I don't really like them as to me the hamster is not actually going anywhere and sniffing and climbing and they seem to crash all the time which must be rather alarming. I prefer quality supervised exploring time out but lots of people seem to think their hams enjoy the ball. You should never put them in for long though as it can get hot & steamy in there with no place to drink.
