Congratulations! He is adorable. For some reason the name Rupert came to my mind when I saw him.

Aww, a cute little boy. Congratulations!

I like Rupert as well and had a foster dwarf of that name.
Rowan and Oakley springs to my mind.

Fantastic, he looks really cute! I like Rupert, Oakley too, I’m thinking Oscar as well. Wishing you both lots of fun together.

Exciting! He is lovely. I was thinking of colouring when looking at him and that lovely grey colour and stripe made me think dusky but that's not really a name. Although could be.

I like names I can say easily when calling them - although sometimes our names get adapted! So Charlie was the first one - easy to say and call out. Newt was the next one - but he became newtie pootie! Nugget was just nugget or nuggety or little nugget.

So whatever you decide to call him it is likely to develop into something more personal. But I do find it easier to call to them when it has ie or y on the end! ie two syllables - but that's just me.

Some people have themes for name - like food (honey, cinnamon, cracker). Others use film characters (there were quite a few from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars on here at one point). Plants and flowers (blossom, ash, buttercup etc).

I quite like boys names as well (for boys). So you could just think of one you like and see if it suits him. Finlay was one that was always on our list but we always ended up with something else.

Aww my word he is such a cutie! I always think that they kind of name themselves give their own unique personalities. Have you settled on a name yet? X

How about Dusty rather than Dusky? Or Flash? (Stripe down his back). Pebbles, Misty, Stormy, Smokey, Gandalf, Greybeard, Merlin, Neptune, Earl Grey, Grayson, Wolf.

We also liked "Cooper" but it got superceded by something else.

Hi everyone! thank you for the cute name sugestions I really liked them all however in the end I decided to let my niece name him, and so his name is.. Pascal haha, for anyone who doesnt know Pascal is the name of the lizard from tangled

The little guy is doing well so far hes still exstremly nervous though, he runs and hides at the littlest sounds or if I move the tiniest bit he get really scared. It makes me feel so guilty but as his cage is in my bedroom theres nothing I can do about moving around unfortunetly

Even though hes nervous around people he has been out and exploring. I've started to scatter half of his food around his cage and put half in his bowl I think he really enjoys looking for it and Im glad he feels comftable enough to come and find it when I'm not there. Ive also heard him using his water bottle too so Im not worried about that.

Hes also a huge fan of his wheel, he goes on it for hours at night and I think Ive heard him in his sand a few times too However I think so far his favourite thing to do is burrowing! He has lots of little tunnels all around his cage and he prefers to sleep in them over his hides. So I guess spending £26 on bedding really was worth it

I'm hoping in the next few weeks he will begin to feel a little more comfortable abound people and we can hopefully begin taming. I'm definetly not pushing it at the moment though. I've only been going into his cage for food and water changes as I dont want to stress him out even more, hes still only a little baby

Ive seen people suggesting leaving a tv show on when Im at work so he gets used to voices and isnt so skittish but I think I'll give him another week or so to settle in first as I dont want to overwhelm him.
Hopefully he'll start feeling more comtable soon!

It is lovely to learn his name. He sounds like he is settling in really well. It is so cute to hear how he loves his wheel, sand and to burrow.
