Re: A Rescue Story
Jin?! What happened to Jin? Was she ill? If you find it too hard to talk about her then please don't.

Walked in to my room one evening and she was passed, just lying out in the open. Mid run across her cage. Obviously very sudden and no real idea what it could have been but best guess is a heart attack or huge stroke. It was in June so long ago enough now that I can talk about it but really not much to say. Still miss her lots. The fern we buried her under went and died as well so currently seeding some forget me not to replace it. Typical I picked a plant that was hard work to memorialise her!!

What a shock this must have been for you. So sad.
I planted a white heather in a big pot and put it on Henry's grave, that way i can replace the plant easily if needed.

Heather is a lovely one to pick <3 We did a fern for Pico and it flourished and looked so lovely I wanted a slightly different one for Jin but obviously not all ferns will thrive with my admittedly neglectful plant parenting style. The OH is in charge of the forget me not seedlings!
It was a horrible shock but she passed in her prime and never suffered a day in her life so I can try and be thankful in a way. The brightest sparks burn the fastest and all that.

Missed this post first time round! Sorry Ff! She is absolutely beautiful isn't she? Shes a lovely, gentle little girl as well and settled fairly quickly. The other girl who is able to take one has only had one ham before, (a little cream boy called Buddy, shes very proud of him, I'll have to give her a link to here) so I thought she would be well suited.
Very glad a home was waiting right away or I'd be looking at building another flipping Linnmon

Re: A Rescue Story
That is a such a sad situation those three hamsters were living in. But it's so good to see them happy in their new cages and know they're going to be with people who will love them. A good group effort to get them rescued!

Re: A Rescue Story
Little Chumbawumba (now named Holly) went off to her new home this afternoon. I've already got lovely updates from her new mum, she is going to be spoiled absolutely rotten
Turns out I got quite attached in just 3 days, got a bit sad seeing her off in the car. Sent her with my spare trixie wheel so at least she has something to remember me by!
