Re: Russian Dwarf Strong Pee
It does sound as though the wheel must be the answer then, strange but good news!
I would do as Ria said with the peed on food.

Re: Russian Dwarf Strong Pee
Loki's silent runner arrived early and he loves it! I have had it a couple of days now and he obviously still pees in it every night but the smell is not so bad in the morning. I can still smell it slightly so maybe he is scent marking as it's new.
He loves burrowing and has made himself such a lovely little hidden nest using his coconut. I can see a couple of little tunnels to it but how do i spot clean without disturbing it? I'm sure he is probably toileting around there as i can't see any other spots he would be doing it (apart from his wheel). Roly always used a litter tray so i wouldn't have to disrupt his nest. They are so different to each other but very special and unique in their own ways.

Re: Russian Dwarf Strong Pee
Great to hear he’s loving his new wheel & the smell is better now.
Sometimes it’s just not possible to spot clean nests if they burrow deep down in the substrate where you can’t easily get to it, you just have to check now & then to see if there is any pee or anything that needs cleaning & try your best not to disturb things too much, they usually get over it quickly enough although sometimes they might decide to go & nest in another spot.

Re: Russian Dwarf Strong Pee
Thanks. I was just worried i might be doing the wrong thing by disrupting it but then sadly there isn't much you can do when you know they've probably peed in it. I will try and do it as carefully as i can.
He is such a confident little fella so hopefully it won't upset him too much.
