I found out the other day what kind of cage Gerald was living in according to the person that was hamster sitting him for a week.



Apparently they had him in a small 10-gallon tank. Its no wonder they never gave me that then, maybe they are going to use it for fish. They apparently didn’t have a wheel for him either! I can’t imagine how awful it must have been to live in a crapped cage with no wheel or anything but a stupid wood block toy.



Gerald truly is living in luxury now. He really loved that wheel and has run on it like crazy the past two nights. He must tire himself out.. To think though living in such a crapped cage on cedar shavings in a 10 gallon cage fore one or two years of your life.. that’s his estimated age anyway..



I’m really glad I got him.
