Personally I don't fully believe this company is all that authentic and there have been safety issues with certain products too - at least one thing made from cedar, products with nails and such, unknown woods used, etc. I'd hesitate to say they're definitely not genuine but to me at least it definitely seems suspicious that they don't seem to have any sort of about me page for their company let alone an address or anything of the sort that I could find.

While clearly they've delivered products and such at the very least this is a company I would approach with caution if you absolutely wanted to take that risk.

Amityville, I think there are always going to be problems with things that we buy and we just have to do the best we can within our budgets and what we are personally happy with. Unfortunately, in life, many things are not 100% perfect all of the time. I am sure if we looked at the many hamster items available or the pet suppliers there are, there are many things we could find fault with, but there will also be many things we can't find fault with. Or, some people may find fault with them and some won't. Take carefresh as an example. Many hamsters and owners are fine with it and don't have a problem, but some of us have had issues.

I'm not sure if Amazon check their global accounts/suppliers and it may be naive of me to think so, but I am sure if there was a problem then there would soon be too many people complaining.

https://www.amazon.com/stores/Nitean...F-B2A790A571A0

One point of interest on the Amazon USA webpage for Niteangel shows a wheel at $24 or a chamber house at $22 and the enclosure is $155- so will be interesting to see what price and import fees the UK will have if they start to sell them here.

There is a company website too, but no information on there apart from the products they sell.
https://www.niteangelpet.com

They have a f.b. page which they had a few posts back in 2016, then nothing until aug this year when they seem to have become more active.

I know they also have an Instagram account because they follow me, but not sure how long it has been active for.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this company and I do hope it works out well for them and us as potential customers.

As my last post was removed, what evidence do you have?

How are parts of the housed ect going to be put together if nails are a safety issue? If they used glue, you'd also say there was a safety issue. So what would you suggest they use instead? What would you use when making a DIY house?

With everything there is risk. Wood can splinter, plastic too. Adhesives and nails poses risk especially when put in the mouth. Feet and hands can get caught ect. These are risks that occur within their natural habitat too. They are going to climb over sharp sticks and crumbling logs, no doubt they'll come across some plastic as it gets everywhere these days too.

Risks are just part of life im afraid.

If you have the option you can make those platforms pretty easily, especially if you have safe wood laying around. They might not be "pretty" but they're very easy to make. What I did temporarily is cut a triangle to fit into the corner of the terrarium and cut out three legs. It basically only gets used for the food bowl and a place to hide underneath. Could probably also just buy some "wood dowels" for <$10 and drill a slight indention into the platform in the corners to stick the legs in. That would also hide the glue.

I am wondering if Rodipet buy in these things from a company who manufactures them and Niteangel may be using the same manufacturer . Just a thought because some Rodipet things used to be made by a company called zoo di. And some getzoo products are very similar to Rodipet products.

I personally would trust it about as much as I would trust most other hamster products to be honest. I really like the look/sound of a lot of the Niteangel products but sadly they mostly aren't available on Canadian amazon as of now and anything off the American one racks up import fees like mad.

I think as far as risks go most, if not all things, have the capacity to cause harm or injury. A few years ago I had a winter white who nearly lost a foot because she'd slipped on a bendy bridge and her foot had managed to get trapped between two of the sticks.
It didn't stop me using bendy bridges, I've owned over 50 hamsters and had several litters of Chinesey hams and that was the only time it happened, I just made sure to check them daily for any gaps big enough for a hammy paw to slip through.
I think as hammy owners, it's an individual responsibility to risk assess what we get for our hammies (Obviously I don't mean things that are inherently dangerous such as fluffy bedding etc) and whilst it's good to raise awareness or concern for a particular product or group of products, there has to be a line somewhere regarding what should and shouldn't be used.
Just my thoughts, not having a go at anyone. Everyone is here because of a shared passion for hammies and hammy welfare at the end of the day.
