Norman now has a lump

You certainly have an awful lot going on at the moment. It must be a very stressful time. I hope that Norman’s surgery goes well and he is soon back on his paws again x

Norman had his surgery yesterday, poor little chap.

The vet called before the surgery to offer me the option of waiting a few weeks to see if the lump grows and if it begins to irritate Norman as the lump was still very small and may have been a cyst or a tumor, or to remove it immediately. I chose to remove it now.

After surgery the vet called again to say it was the right decision as the lump was an adenoma, which is usually benign but can grow very quickly.

The incision looked very sore but Normie is back home now, occupying his one section of cage minus wheel, sand box and flying saucer. He is on metacam for four days and is being spoiled rotten with tendetstem brocolli and mealworms and lots of love.
