Default Chewing toy

I am getting somewhat desperate with my hamster's bitting situation, so I thought it might help to add some chewing toys in his cage.

Soooo, what so you all use as chewing toy for your hammie?

Can you get whimzees where you are? Most hams love chewing those, a lot of things sold as chew toys don't really interest them but you can make chew toys out of cardboard or use cardboard tubes, small boxes to hide food & treats in, that usually keeps them occupied for a while.

I don't believe I can find whimzees near me. Also, Oscar doesn't really like it if you hide food in cardboard. I tried making a sphere out of toilet paper roll, and hide treats in it but he didn't pay any attention to it, even after a week.

One of the hamster youtube channels suggested putting a tiny bit of peanut butter on a chew stick to get them interested. It worked, at least somewhat, for my dwarf. May be worth a try.

What do you mean by biting situation? Is he biting the bars? Did you check that everything is working like the water bottle and the wheel?
My hamsters like Whimzees and nibble bars but i get the ones without honey or you could give him a peanut in the shell or a piece of coconut to gnaw on.

He actually bites me all of a sudden. He is being going on for about 15 days now. I made several posts but no answer from anyone. He lives in a 80x40 wooden cage, all the necessities and he has food and water. He even free roams every day.

I had a look at your other threads and people did reply to request for help with your biting hamster.
I don't know why your hamster bites you. If he bites you when your hand is in his cage he's territorial or simply doesn't like hands in his cage and then its better to get him out in a mug.
Does he also bite you when he's out of his cage providing that he wanted to come out of his cage?
I've seen photos of his cage and its a very nice, good sized habitat so i don't think the cause of the biting is environmental.
Were you able to handle Oscar easily before he started to bite?
I had a hamster i was never able to handle properly because he'd bite soon as a finger was within his reach.

People did reply, but none of the suggestions solved the problem. I should have explained it better. To briefly answer your questions:

Yes, he does bite me when he is out of his cage, he pretty much bites me (until I bleed) every time he can (except if I have food in my hand).

Yes, I could handle him easily. Up to a month ago he never bit me and I could handle him and play with him freely.

The only thing I changed when the biting started was his bedding. I did switch back but the problem still persists.

What happens when you wear a pair of thorn proof gardening gloves? Does he bite the gloves too? I'm just trying to figure out why he bites. He may connect your hand with food and bite when there isn't any. It's strange that you used to be able to handle him and then he suddenly started to bite you. I'm sorry that i can't be helpful but i'm as puzzled as you are.
How did you tame him when you first got him? Maybe you have to go back to the beginning and start the taming process all over again.
Is it only your fingers he bites or your toes etc as well when you sit on the floor with him while he free roams or when he's on your lap?
It must be very upsetting for you not knowing why he suddenly bites and i wished i could come up with an answer.
