Oo love the ventilation. Did you do that? If so, how did you cut the plastic without splitting it?

I used a Dremel power tool with a plastic cutting attachment.

I got the Duna Multy for a homeless dwarf but wanted a cage for a homeless Syrian as well.
I used Ozzy's p@h xl for that purpose but do not get on with that cage at all because of its small doors.

So found another Gumtree bargain and got a Grosvenor.
I just set it up with things i already had. There's a sand bath/toilet under the corner shelf and a coconut hide plus a heap of toilet paper strips under the platform.

Like the Duna its a basic set up but covers the essentials.

Just collected an unwanted and apparently hostile hamster who turned out to be a nameless and scared baby.
He looks like a mouse with his huge ears and pointy face so i'm trying to think of a name. I like Rodney and my OH suggested Stanley. Any suggestions?

cutie Ria, I had to look that cage up and it is called an 'entry level' cage in other words, known as the pet store makes money off you for something that you don't need and is not suitable for any rodent to live in.

I call Twinkle my mouse/rat as he has such a thin head and long pointy snout

Names, all mine are cosmic related...

Just looking at his pic, he looks tiny, how about tiny tim (won't work if he is bigger in reality!)

Rodney is a very nervous hamster who is frightened of his own shadow, leaps around his cage when startled and climbs to the top corner so i've added more bedding.

I was told that he bites, attacks and is not a nice hamster but i think that he is just very scared. He's curious too and took a treat from my fingers through the cage. He's so tiny and must be quite young.

I hope that he'll start to relax soon but for now i only talk to him.
Any tips on how best to help a hamster like that are always appreciated.
