I've collected this sleepy little bear of a hamster today.

That's him in the transport box while in my car.
He's only 3.5 months old and absolutely gorgeous, currently lodging in a lovely Hamster Heaven set up with very knowledgable and caring foster parents waiting for his perfect forever home.

Thanks. I found him on Gumtree and collected him but his wonderful foster parents will rehome him.

I need to sort the Grosvenor first so the boys can't climb on top of the cage when its lived in. I'm thinking of getting it off the ground high enough to keep the boys off but not too high so it still fits under Edwina's table. Something with wheels or castors so i can pull it out because it is top opening.

I can accommodate a dwarfie for rehoming because i can use a bin cage or p@h xl as a temporary cage which is small and light enough to lift on and off the futon.

All my OH's fault for making forever friends with Clarissa.

I've been taking her out of her cage for a few days now to let her run around on me but i'm not brave enough yet to let her free roam. She is so small and fast but i thought the same of Edwina until she hid inside a pillow with a pillowcase on which i chucked on the floor in case she fell off the futon but not realizing that she was actually on the floor until i could not find any trace of a hamster on the futon.

Hmmm.....

Had to share this photo. He's a lovely brown colour with golden stripes. What is this colour called or do only pedigree hamsters have certain colours?

What a lovely boy, he is a gorgeous colour, Syrian colours aren’t my strong point so not sure, love those ears too!

I think the he is actually a she. He was advertised and sold as a boy but when his foster mum sent me a video of him digging i realized that something vital was missing!

I have now resolved the cage on the floor issue by raising the cage with a transport dolly i bought for £10 at Wickes.

It's too high now for the boys to climb so there won't be a problem when its temporarily lived in.

The side facing the door i have covered with a thick rat hammock on the outside to keep out any drafts.

The transport dolly makes it easy to move the cage out from under the table.

The transport dolly sounds a good idea. Are you setting up a hamster foster network Ria?

He/she is a cutie. I do love syrians, especially ones with big ears
