Ha, what a cutie. Keep him if you want, if you have room. But I am sure you could find the right home for him too. Do what feels right.

The rescue is open again so i could take a Syrian in need of a temporary home there and a dwarf i could accommodate myself.
I tried not to introduce Rodney to free roaming but he jumped off my leg the other night and zoomed off, not everybody has a hamsterproof room or area in their house though.
He's up hours before the others, runs to the front of his cage when he sees me, asks to come out and loves roaming around the room. There are houses, wheels, bridges, a long tunnel and allsorts on the floor. I don't really want to take this away from him.
I don't know why this red thumb icon appears at the heading.

Re: Foster hamsters
Sounds like someone has fallen for young Rodney and also he sounds very happy in your care.

I know. I've been thinking of all sorts of excuses to justify keeping yet another hamster meant for adoption but it's true, i have fallen for him. I'm also curious to find out how tame he's going to be and what level of trust he'll be able to build with humans.

After his bad start in life i want to make a 100% sure that the rest of his life is going to be a good one.
Easiest way to do that is to keep him. Right?

Re: Foster hamsters
We have a lodger called Ivy who was made homeless after a fight with her sister.
She's moved into the Duna Multy with two wheels, a labyrinth house, sandbath and hides. Ivy keeps popping in and out of the roof entrance.
She's very very fast and jumped out of the tank in the adoption centre. Luckily i managed to catch her in my hands.
Once i get some decent photos of her i'll try and find her a good forever home.
