My dwarfs are hardly out
I love my robos very much, but it feels like they enjoy avoiding me because they don't come out until around 2am consistently. They are both completely tame (they willingly climb onto my hand and genuinely just sit there and lay down while I stroke them) but even if I hear them awake and try and tempt them out before I'm in bed they don't seem to want to. I never force them to come out as I don't think me wanting to play with them is important enough to stress them out but it feels as if the only time I spend with them is when they get cleaned out and I have to remove them. It's a little better with the lockdown as I can stay up longer, but they aren't particularly late sleepers (they disappear at around 8am). Can anyone recommend anything? I would try building a routine with them but they aren't awake early enough to

Re: My dwarfs are hardly out
All i can suggest is to get up early now and again to interact with your Robos around 06.30/07.00.
My Robo gets up around 01.00 after i've gone to bed usually, so i can identify with your question.
Like you, i don't believe that my own wish of wanting to play with them justifies me stressing my hamsters out so i play with them whenever they happen to be out of their nest and hop onto my hand or into a mug or let me pick them up. In my Robo's case this doesn't happen because he is happiest in his tank and he's shy.
I have read in books about establishing routines like feeding at a certain time so the hamster comes out but have always considered this to be institutional so have never gone down this route. My hamster have food available at all times so can eat and forage whenever they want which is usuallly when i'm not around.
I think the amount of time we are able to interact with our hamsters also depends on their personalities and needs and it sounds like yours are very happy with the environment and care you provide for them.

Re: My dwarfs are hardly out
I made this thread and forgot about it, but magically they have started to come out earlier and I've spent some time with them!
