We got the lamb and rice one. It’s free from all allergens do grain free (just rice) etc. They also do a turkey and rice one. Amazon has it and burgess website as well.
If this was aimed at me then I can't. Beau has an anallergenic diet. More extreme than hypoallergenic. He's allergic to chicken, lamb, beef, fish, turkey, wheat, barley, rye, spelt, broccoli, rice, egg, horse, goats milk. Also suffers with pollens.

Hydrolyzed diets are really broken down so the allergen is so small that the body doesn't recognise it. That coupled with steroids, antihistamines and medicated baths, eardrops and ointments. He has allergic skin disease so it's quite bed. He's only 2 years old and we've been through every other step and are running out of options so I'm glad we found this. He's on royal canin anallergenic. The other food is hills science plan z/d. Both roughly the same price at £50 a 8kg bag.

So sorry to hear that. That does sound bad.

Yeh when we didn't know what was wrong or how to help it was a nightmare. Actually thought the only option was euthanasia. We got him when he was 5 weeks old and wasn't expected to survive so it's a miracle he's got this far. He will have a shorter life span than other bichons because of prolonged steroid use. But I know that when that time comes I would have done everything I can to keep him comfortable. It's quality of life not quantity.

It's quite rare I think. Only dog we know that's got it, in fact we hadn't even heard of it and I've had dogs all my life.

Now it's just a part of Beau. I'm not saying that it's not bad but you just deal with it. Now we know what it is and how it affects him we know how to help him and keep him happy. Week before Christmas beau was off steroids for the first time in his life. Like properly off them. Lasted until late February early march. He's since come back off them and it's been a week and he's all good. Took almost 2 years to get diagnosed so hopefully this year will be better for him as we have all the tools we need and a very good, understanding and knowledgeable vet
