That's exactly why I started this thread. At a time like this when so many people all over the world are worried, uncertain, afraid, even ill, I've found that there is nothing quite like a hamster to make things seem a little brighter.

Re: Hamster lockdown thread
Aww all of your hamsters are so adorable! Thank you for sharing, it is so nice to know that there are adorable fluffs living out their lives happily and without paranoia. <3
Since we have finally named her, I would like to introduce our new hamster, Tubby! Named after her liking the bathtub and being just a teensy bit chubby. (I might post a proper introduction with better pictures once my teachers stop giving me assignments to prevent me from watching their lectures haha.)
We got her on March 13, and she's really curious and friendly! Her ears are noticeably bigger than our previous hamster's. She enjoys tunnelling, stuffing her cheeks when we refill her food (once we know how long she takes to go through the food we will try scatter feeding), running on her wheel at 2 am, being massaged (like we were trying to in the picture), and making a big mess with her sand.
She absolutely loves (dried) mealworms but has yet to nibble the Whimzees!
Our petting messed up her fur in the picture... she doesn't normally have a trendy hairdo haha

Re: Hamster lockdown thread
Neil likes to make happy squeaks after being hand-fed and rolling in his sand pit. I think he may be a little bit spoiled. I usually scatter feed for him, but he seems to enjoy gently grabbing the food from my fingers even more, so I give him the pleasure every so often. Here's a recent pic!

7042F381-3B4C-437B-AAC9-076CA2596FEA.jpegWhat beautiful new hamster photos, here’s one of polo taken last night after about the 3time of trying to stop her tunnelling under the door during free play, she is a tiny bit obsessed with it. The photo needs a captain- “what now mum?”
I’m going to post a link to a video in her introducing Polo thread, just to see if this is not behaviour

Re: Hamster lockdown thread
Polo is such a cutie! Neil would never let me hold him like that - he's quite rowdy and dislikes when his paws aren't on the ground. I always see videos of dwarf hamsters happily being held on their backs, practically falling asleep - not my Neil! But I love his quirky and rambunctious personality, so no complaints here.

Re: Hamster lockdown thread
Polo is beautiful! I really like her colouring. Trying to get under doors, behind sinks and anywhere inconvenient for humans to reach is behaviour, typical hamster behaviour.

She did. She looks like she's wearing white socks on her four paws and she has a little white tail to match.

Re: Hamster lockdown thread
Those are delightful pictures of Neil and Polo. Neil looks tiny!
I've never held a Syrian, I'd love to feel the weight difference between them and Russian Dwarves.
