It's only a trip though and Europe will still be there for you to visit when all this is over.
You are alive, this situation is temporary and life will return to the way it was eventually.
Then you can catch up on all the things you are missing out on now and in the meantime make plans for future trips to Europe like visiting the graveyards in Vienna in search of the wild European black bellied hamster.

Re: Hamster lockdown thread
Another lockdown evening spent with hamster home improvements. While Percy was asleep somewhere in the substrate of his main cage i cleaned out his play cage but checked the bag with the old substrate twice to make sure that i had not thrown out a sleeping dwarf by mistake.
Since diabetic Percy who pees a lot devides his time between two cages i no longer find very damp patches of substrate and not only that, he has started to use the small corner sand bath in the play cage as a toilet.
I've changed the toys in the play cage and added a little hut which i can easily check when he's in the other cage because i have to watch out for mould and dampness.
After a good investigative sniff around Percy has moved into the little hut and seems to like the new set up.

I love that blue path down the middle. Does the blue bedding stay in place? Pumpkin sometimes seems to move all her bedding from one side of the cage to the other overnight. I can't imagine a path like that would last long in her cage! Glad to hear the dampness issue seems better and Percy wasn't too disturbed by the cage clean.

Re: Hamster lockdown thread
I love his play cage! I see he has exactly the same kind of flying saucer as Norman has! Does Percy use his? Norman seems to not know what it is for...

Re: Hamster lockdown thread
No, the path doesn't stay there for long, lol. Percy likes to rearrange things. He used to be a right little bulldozer when i first got him from the adoption section but he has calmed down a lot since.
Yes, Percy uses both, his flying saucer and his upright wheel in the other cage. It took him a while to suss it out but he likes it now.
