Smile New hamster!

Hi everyone, i am a new member to this forum.
I got a 10 week old Syrian hamster Friday and i havent interacted with him at all yet. He is eating, drinking and burrowing which is a good sign. Just wondering when you would start the taming process? I dont want to leave it too long but then i dont want to stress him out...
What do you think?

Thanks

Hi & welcome to the forum.
It's fine to begin interacting with them after a day or two so you can begin now, just go slow, begin by just talking to him when he's out & about in the cage & when he's comfortable with that try offering a treat either through the bars or with your hand very still in the cage, let him get comfortable with each stage before moving him on to taking him out of the cage for more interaction & taming.
