Exclamation Possibly too large of a cage?

I've created a new 80x40 wooden cage for my dwarf Oscar, and I noticed that he tries to climb the front mesh a lot. He doesn't chew it, but he tries to climb it.
Is that anxiety behavior? Could the 60x40 previous cage be better for him after all?

It is his first day in this cage with 100% new bedding, so take that into account.
