Re: Further cage recommendations and cage review
6 inches is still too small even for a dwarf(especially a hybrid like you have). You really need an 8 inch(20.32 cm, not just 20 cm) wheel, but the 9 inch Silent Runner would be an excellent choice!

Well, since he doesn't arch his back and pretty much loves this wheel, why should I up the size? Also, isn't 9 inch a little too much? I believe he would have trouble moving it since he is really small

Re: Further cage recommendations and cage review
Larger wheels offer more comfortable running surface compared to a more snug fit. You also won't have to worry about potentially having the wheel outgrown at the 8 or 9 inch size - which is completely appropriate even for smaller hamsters! I know of people who use the 9 inch Silent Runner with no issues even for the smallest hamster species, so it definitely isn't too large.

Re: Further cage recommendations and cage review
My Roborovski has an 8 inch wheel and can turn it just fine. It does depend on the type of wheel, as some are heavier than others, but I don't think a 9 inch wheel would be too big for a Russian dwarf. I've even seen a video of a Robo turning a 28cm wheel!

Re: Further cage recommendations and cage review
A 6” wheel is considered fine for an average sized winter white. Any size bigger than that is also fine. I had a 9” for our Robo but a lot depends on the wheel and how well it spins. The 6.5” silent spinner used to be the most popular wheel for dwarf hamsters but people have had a lot of problems with them being too stiff to push (ironically a well spinning 9” is easier to run in than a small stiff wheel). As there are no other 6.5” wheels to speak of, a lot of people are using 8 and 9” wheels - the silent ones tend to be really good spinners.
Anything smaller than 6” would be too small even for a dwarf hamster but if he runs ok and enjoys it it is probably fine
He’d probably enjoy a 9” silent runner as well if you ever did need to replace the wheel.
