Mine used to have their own room (albeit a very small one) but when I moved about 18 months ago they lost their own room and now live in the living room with my bedroom being used for quarantine... There's no way I'd want all 16 in with me on a permanant basis!

Mine are all in the living room which is now more of a hamster room than anything else!

Jupiter's tank is in the living room. It's an open living room / dining room so she's further away from the couch and the tv and closer to the dining table

My little guy is in my room. I have a loft bed with a desk under it that houses my pc. Behind/beside it on another desk is Mimo's cage so that I can see it from my seat and from my bed. Our sleeping patterns are pretty similar (I have chronic fatigue and bouts of insomnia) so I usually get to see him when hes awake. His wheel is super quiet but even if it wasn't I doubt it would be loud enough to bother me. I have a fish tank in my room with a loud air pump and I can sleep through just about anything (as long as my name isnt said and I'm not touched).

Elizabeth and Leo on the other hand, perfect little angels who I didn't hear a peep out of when we stayed in a hotel overnight for a show.

We considered keeping Theo (RIP) in the study, but I'm a music teacher and so a hammy might be disturbed during the day by scratchy beginner violins and ham-fisted young pianists! So we kept her in the living-room, which was quieter during the day, and she would sometimes come and lie under her flexible bridge when we were watching television (she listened to a variety of programmes and I like to think became a very cultured hamster!)

I LOVE that!

My study is full of World War 2 and World War 1 artifacts...Bullet riddled helmets, rusty bayonets dug up in the Somme and even a piece of destroyed German tank. The hamsters live directly opposite my display cabinet... i can only guess the effect this might have had on their outlook on life and philosophies of war and peace...

My bedroom. I live in a houseshare and there's really nowhere else. This is the second night of owning my new girl as I've been without a hamster since October. It's 1:40am. She woke me up! I'll get used to it again though, right?!
