I'm always sat on my bed so there's a soft landing. Also Niko chooses to go up onto my shoulder. Initially he just stayed in the main body bit.

Second thing is I get Niko to burn off his energy so I put fleece down and sit by it and when he's finished he's even easier to handle and just wants to chill to be honest.

Finally I'm never doing anything while he's out. So if he falls or tries to climb out I can catch him. If I cant for instance he's crawling down my back I lean to make his descent easier and safer.

(Lol I'm joking, just stick to standard free roam on the ground unless I'm wearing something made from an easy to climb fabric. Also I have a thinner summer time hoodie for that)
