Smile Housing Dwarves Together?

Hi I've heard a lot of contradictory things about dwarf breeds and I'm really confused.

I've heard people say that keeping pairs is good and they are social species unlike syrians but I've also heard that they arent as territorial as syrians but still don't enjoy being in pairs
I'm planning to get a dwarf soon and this question always seems to get any different answers. Anybody with more knowledge or experience care to help me?

Should they be placed alone or together?

A single hamster is best regardless of species(not breed, as this is a very inaccurate term when used with hamsters). It is definitely not natural for dwarf hamsters to be living together in same sex pairs or groups, especially in the relatively small cages we use in captivity(even the 100 cm x 50 cm cages would probably be nowhere near even a fraction of the potential territory of a single hamster). There are very real negative impacts to the immune system, behavior, and overall stress level to hamsters and owners when you take the unnecessary and quite frankly pointless risk of housing multiple hamsters together.

Some people will say you can try and set up a cage a certain way and/or have a certain cage size but that is not a good idea either. By housing multiple hamsters you limit your potential enrichment, you limit everything that can safely go in an enclosure, and even how much floor space an individual hamster would have.

You should’t, as they may be fine for a while, but end up in a deadly fight. The only specie you might try are Campbells, and even then, you need to be careful.

I've had some experience in keeping dwarfs in pairs and have found that Campbells are the most likely to stay together without major conflicts but even then this cannot be guaranteed.

I originally took on a group of six Campbells and out of those two had to be separated off fairly quickly because of bullying. The remaining four have lived together reasonably well but generally speaking I would recommend that dwarves live alone.
