Default Boredom

Hi! I recently bought a hamster a week and a half ago, and no matter what I do, she seems to be bored and wants to get out. I had the Habitrail ovo loft enclosure at first, but realised it was far too small and upgraded a few days later to a bin cage which is bigger than the minimum requirements. She’s now started chewing on the bottom of the bin cage to try and get out, and I’m not sure what else to do.

Default Re: Boredom

Hi and welcome,

you could post a photo of your set up for people to see if you could add anything that may help.

Hamsters like cardboard tubes to run through and to chew on, a Whimzee dog chew is a favourite too.

You could give her out of cage time in a playpen or bathtub or anywhere that is safe for her to run around in.
