Sick Hamster?
My hamster Poppy recently turned one. She is a Syrian and a maybe two weeks ago I noticed she constantly had a wet chin. I have checked tonight to find that her chin is completely bald and all that’s there is pink skin. I have also noticed that she often walks around with her mouth dropped . I hope she is ok. I have been putting hamster vitamins in her food for a week now to try and keep her really healthy but doesn’t help at all. I do have cream for hamsters skin but haven’t tried it. Please someone reply as I don’t want to take her to vets unless completely needed as it is really expensive x

Re: Sick Hamster?
Have you checked her teeth? It may be that they are overgrown and she can't close her mouth properly. The bottom teeth keep growing and are kept in trim by chewing hard things. To be honest it does sound like she needs to see a vet.
