Default Picking Up Roborovski

Hi, I haven't posted here in many years but after a prolonged hiatus from hamster keeping, after seeing a robo for sale on eBay in a tiny cage, I am now the proud owner of a little agouti girl who I've named Piccolo.
She's very sweet and has tamed down to become very good to handle, but doesn't like being picked up and tends to panic a little about this. Currently the method I'm using is to place one hand over her like a tent then slide the other hand underneath and cradle her in both hands until I am holding her over her old small cage which I'm using as a sort of contingency plan in case her robo speed gets the better of my fat slow hands!
However I was wondering is there a better way of doing it? How can I get her to feel calmer about being picked up? Currently I'm hoping simple repetition will help but obviously if there's a better more effective method I'm all ears.
