I would just get the junior regardless of age. Even though you'd want to add some form of animal protein to either mix, the junior already has a decent level of protein while the senior is very low in protein.

While he might be doing alright on the p@h muesli right now it is extremely low in variety and is loaded with pelleted bits(there are only 2 truly whole ingredients that I could find). It also contains vague colourants which isn't a good sign, as these are most likely artificial ones which should be avoided at all costs. There's definitely tons of room for improvement, and the Rodipet mix would give exactly that!

Thanks for reply. I'll order the Rodipet junior dwarf mix today.

Wee Gordon is still very shy but has claimed ownership of his little cottage.

That is just so cute. Wee Gordon! I also like the Rodipet food mixes though I have only used the Syrian junior one for Maestro. When I had the senior one for Mocho, he avoided the dried insects-crickets I think. I would use the junior one now even after a year old.

Wee Gordon was still up and running around when i got up for an early shift this morning so i gave him a drop of porridge in his own egg cup.

He approached carefully sniffing and then ate some. Next thing he hopped into the porridge and from there he jumped back into his sandpit!! Oh Gordon you messy little man.

.....he was still washing when i left for work

Hi Ria,

Gordon looks a fun little thing, I believe that Mistress Poppy has been in communication with him on the Ham Net, I fear she wasn't too impressed with his communication but he is only young and will learn from Henry.

Henry rearranging the spice rack and Gordon posing in front of his cottage.

It's so nice and relaxing to spend evenings in the company of hamsters. Pure therapy after a day of work, people, traffic etc etc
