I'm so glad Henry is on the mend RiaP. It can be so upsetting when they are ill.

Your method of giving him his medication is the best I've found. Nanuk has been on oral liquid medication most of his life and syringing it slowly into his mouth is the only way that really works and he got accustomed to it very quickly.

I hope Henry continues to get better and makes a full recovery

Good to hear he’s so much better now Ria.
I haven’t used benebac myself so no experience with that but I find the potent brew really easy to use, just a drop on their veg once a week or more frequently if they’re unwell & never had a problem with them eating the veg with that on, either they don’t notice it or they like it!
I have bought it from Ratrations before & found the expiry date to be really short but from Doctor S it’s usually pretty good.

Not sure how much and what exactly he eats, never have been with the exception of fresh veg. He eats sunflower seeds and gets extra to fatten him up a bit. I think he enjoys to crack the shell open to get to it.

I'll keep an eye on him, should the UTI flare up again then i'll order benefac rightaway. How long does it keep? What's the expiry date usually? Just wondering if i should order one just in case.
I got the benebac powder, i got mine in aug 2019 and it had a bb date of may 2020- i didn't realise this until after Star died. Oops, she was still eating it. If you did use it you may find Henry likes the taste of it, no matter what food you put it on. Star wolfed hers down.
I got mine from vetsend

Wee Gordon is getting on a bit and must be about 19 months old now. I'm not sure of his age because he was adopted.
I've done a health check today and everything seems fine but the fur on his belly is thinning a bit. No redness or inflammation or anything like that.
Does his fur look alright?

As you can tell by his ears, he wasn't impressed.

He's not quite as fast as he used to be which makes him a little easier to catch.

Fur loss is very common in Robos as they get older. Pumpkin lost quite a bit of fur on her chest and belly.

Doubt it because Robos pee so little.

That's good to know, thanks. His belly doesn't look sore, just bold in places.

Overgrooming maybe? Nanuk gets a very similar thing behind his one ear when he's been grooming himself a lot. Beautiful photo by the way!
