Default Spot on hamsters nose

Hello, My hamster started getting a little scratch on his nose. Then it turned into a small bald spot. Now, looks like this! I never saw anything like it on a hamster before. My vet doesnt see hamsters, anyone know what it could be?

This looks like bar rub - has your hammie been bar chewing. Even if you haven't seen them do it if there are bars in he cage or any sort of small hole they can push their nose in to chew they can get bar rub. You need to block off any areas they chew or better still move o a bin cage or glass tank they cannot chew on. Provide a large enough wheel (at least 8in) to distract them to use the wheel rather than chewing the bars.

Hello, He does have a wheel, a house, etc. He is in a glass aquarium. The only thing I noticed he chews ALL the time was his water bottle. He kept chewing them so we had to get a new one. This time one that sits down in a metal case so he cant chew it. Maybe from that?
