Is cage in the bathroom a definite no?

I’m disabled and only have access to my bedroom and master bath. I have dogs in the bedroom with me and there’s nowhere I could put a hamster that would be fair to either animal. My bathroom is quite large, no dogs allowed, has an exhaust fan, has a window, and is never drafty. It doesn’t get cold. We don’t use scented anything in our home, no harsh cleaning chemicals or anything like that. When we shower we could leave the door open and run the fan. Is the humidity during a shower still going to be too much? I thought it might work well because I can shut the dogs out and turn the tub into a play pen like I’ve seen some people do. But I don’t want to buy a hamster if I don’t have a good home for one. I’m guessing it’s not going to work out but I wanted to ask before I gave up hope.

it does seem like you have good ventilation in there, as well as no use of harsh chemicals or smells, but it still seems a bit iffy to me. when i was dealing with a noisy wheel i first moved him to my bathroom before moving him permanently to a laundry/storage room sort of thing instead because i was given information about issues with the humidity, smells,etc. then again, it was a basement bathroom and had no window or anything like that and i had scented soaps and such.

hopefully someone with a bit more experience/knowledge will be able to help out!

I agree and think it is the condensation issue really - however careful you are. Bathrooms just get condensation and that could lead to chest/breathing issues or mould issues in the cage possibly.Also the noise of the bathroom being used/taps running etc. Sorry not to have better news!

Yes, my main concern would be with condensation/dampness in the air too too. Sorry.

Yes, i agree with all aforementioned issues and don't think a bathroom is suitable for a hamster plus the close proximity of dogs could stress the hamster out.

Maybe a vivarium would be an option for geckos or tree frogs. They like a humid and warm environment but i don't know about reptiles and frogs so you would need to do some research. I've seen some beautiful set ups the other day.
